MAROON 5 IS SMSiDK approved...so is Kelis' new Li'l Star Vid :D

O my GOODNESS, I don't know about YOU guys but I'm a DIE HARD Maroon 5 fan, I'm not gonna lie and say I knew about them b4 they became the group we know them as NOW but it doesn't flippin' matter, the vocals, the composition && even STAGE prescence [Sunday August 1, 2004 opening for john mayer...i was there] are WORTH the weight...and WAIT FOR THAT MATTER, since the release of Songs About Jane in June 2002 the group has been going strong off every single track off that album and I guess they figured it was time that they bless us with their presence again in 2007...May 22nd to be exact ;D "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" is probably one of the most anticipated albums of the YEAR, their first single "Makes Me Wonder" is the DOPEST why? Because when's the last time YOU heard a "breakdown" in a song huh? I don't even think our generation KNOWS what a breakdown is anymore, but yeah, all in all KNOW that this will b bumpin' in "Humphrey" [my Escort] for the summer even if I HAVE to wait around for Kiss 103 or B96 to bump it...I'll be back with more details on whose on the album and tour dates as well

ENJOY.!

in OTHER news...remember you saw it here FIRST unless you randomly browse youtube for music videos like myself, this vid was released in Europe in O say in February 2007 and has yet to hop across the pond to the good ol' U.S. of A so here yu go FOLKS, care of thee SMSiDK CREW...Lil' Star by Kelis::

...

Prayers and Peace go out to the families and loved ones of all those affected by the tragedy at Virginia Tech University...

Looking on the facebook I couldn't help but noticed the solidarity shown through notes, profile pictures and statuses. I wont use this as a time to make social comentary on the social conditions that would drive a student to take aim at his fellow students...right now its a time to lend our support to those in need...

For What It's Worth #1

This is our weekly wrap up called "for what it's wroth." The idea is for us to highlight 3 of the most awesome things from our individual weeks and then one we agree that is pretty mentionworthy... so...without further ado...

Charity's 3

1. Big Pony Polos: I didn't think they were really any different than regular polos but i put one on to give my lecture...Man, I was singing to that joint "yooooooou make me feeeeeeel...like a natural woman." Maybe it was the custom fit, or maybe it was the intricacies in the stitching of the polo...they actually sew socks on the horse.

2. Video Camera Phones: More specifically my PPC 6700. It allowed me to shoot the most awesome video of me riding my bicycle in the academic building...and i bet yall thought it was on my camcorder. NOPE... PPC 6700...windows mobile nikka...step ya game up.

3. Don Imus: Since im an intellect and in doin my PhD sociology of race sports and gender; people have been askin me what i think. And here's my 2-cents.

"Our freedom of speech is not an unlimited freedom that is free from responsibility. Just because we CAN say whatever we want; doesn't leave us free of any repercussions and consequences that result. Don Imus stuck his foot in his mouth; whether he was jokin or serious it was in bad taste for somebody in a position of power in the media. I could go on and on about the significance of his comments and blah blah blah but i wont..."

Melissa's 3

4. Saracco Wine [Moscato d'Asti]:: SO WHAT IF IT'S ONLY FIDEEN DOLLAS?!?! It gets you gone all the while it's wine that ACTUALLY tastes good and it's great to do things like: drink, pour or even TOAST to a 20th birthday, like ya girl Melly Mel's, you can't go wrong with this wine...trust me, it has a little fizz to it as if it's champagne but it's a great combination, the get the bubbles and the buzz, what more can you ask for?

5.Okay, okay so in order to let you guys in on this one, I'm gonna have to expose a little bit about myself, I, Melissa of the SMSIDK CREW, am not "hip" to all that old school hippity-hoppity, SO SUE ME, BUT rather than POSE like MOST, I'm actually on a conquest to obtain a copy of ALL of the hip-hop classics THUS I went out this week and purchase NONE other than Li'l Kim's first LP "Hardcore" and I must admit the joint is straight crack, every woman should own it and I'm WILLING to say that every man might need to own it too, all in all...go cop that, if you're like me and hadn't owned it already :-D

6. Vaseline Intensive Rescue Healing Hand Cream...PERIOD. I really don't NEED to say anything else but the fact that you can find it at Walgreen's for UNDER yes ladies && gent's $6, now, ANYBODY who's ever shopped around for hand creams, like myself, KNOWS that quality hand creams, not just the lotion that comes in small, purse sized bottles, but actual HAND CREAM is priced RIDICULOUSLY for only 3 or 4 fluid ounces so really, go check it out in the Walgreen's nearest you, your hands will thank you.

And from the both of us...we present: eddo fuckin' starr

Here's Why:

Melissa says: I like keepin' things humans myself. Sorry Jay...Sorry Fif"

Charity says: "Cause after all, you can't have a conversation with your Lambo...(lambo lambo on the wall...you can't do that shit!)"
