click the album cover to check out tracks from the album...if you like it...buy it (dont be cheap)

The Cali duo that brought us the sneaker head hip-hop joint K.R.E.A.M (Kicks Rule Everyting Around Me). According to them, their purpose is to bring a new sound to the game, while keeping in the mind the true fundamentals of Hip-Hop. Unfazed and determine, [[U-N-I]] is breaking down barriers by attracting people from all different areas. It’s not just an urban sound, but also suburban. [[U-N-I]], short for “U-N-I Verse,” (like You and I) is determined to unite people wherever they perform. Through their unique sound and raw talent, these versatile and authentic artists won’t stop until their message of unity gets across. From Asian, to Black to Latino, everyone is certain to vibe with them.

Me personaly...I just like their vibe...its Hip-Hop according to Little Brother; dope beats dope rhymes (wat more could i want?)

cant win em all

So if you know me, im somethin of a sneaker afficionado (fukk a spell check). If you see my collection and hear my convo you know that i live by the motto "fresh sneakers on my feet make my cipher complete"...anyway. I be on some exclusive shit, they're releasin all the jordan 1's (like the beginning moments package and all his other random ass wack shit here in the US). I passed on all of em chasing after the holy grail of Jordan 1 which is the XQ China release...only 240 pair released, and only released in China...and they look like this:
So after months of tryin my contacts and even contemplatin a trip to Shanghai for the June 1st drop...I've realized that I'm not gonna be able to get these....and I'm ok with that...i really am

When they reminisce over you...

I'm 23, not afraid to admit it at all because now I have gained a beautiful thing called hindsight...and you know what they say about that shit. Anyway as I write my master's thesis on Hip-Hop culture I remember when I was first introduced to it...1996 when I bought my first album (like with my own money)...beats rhymes and life. Funny because that's how I've lived Hip-Hop since then. Anyway...allow me to get my nostalgia on for a second with the help the class of 96 who present...
Im alrady lookin for my overalls and jodeci boots....im gonna get my TLC on fa real in that joint. I mean '96 was a great year as far as Hip-Hop, and for those that don't know, I'm gonna run off a few classics:

Ironman-Ghostface Killah
Reasonable Doubt-Jay-Z
ATLiens-Outkast
The Score-The Fugees
It Was Written-Nas
Ridin Dirty-UGK
Redman-Muddy Waters
Soul On Ice-Rass Kass
and others...

Im pretty much sayin im gonna be there...and you should too

It's a Chicago thing...you wouldn't understand (so let me explain)

So, Lupe Fiasco and Japanese Rapper Big-O did the cover of a Japanese Hip-Hop magazine together (pictured above). Just so happens that Lupe has a clothing line called Trilly and Truly and Japanese Rappers Big-O and Iggy have a clothing line called Swagger. The two decided to collaborate and make a tees...here's one.

Those of you who are don't know anything about Chicago (or Minneapolis, Yes my city is home to #96 or somethin) you might not be familiar with Harold's Chicken Shack named after the Former and only black mayor of Chicago, Harold Washington. Still don't see the connection between the Tee and the Shack?...check the Harold's Logo

You get it now? You better...now next time You're in the Chi make sure you check out a Harolds and order 6 wings Mild Sauce and fries, with a strawberry Nehi (word to Naledge)

Be there or...

...miss out and hear about it from the people who were. Hey it's your choice, just wanted to let you know what was goin on.

he's cool to me

Recently Beanie Siegel made some comments about Pharell and Kanye being "not cool" because of their personas, claiming that nobody in the "hood" dresses or acts like that and that its "gay" (gay as in derogatory and associating things being gay with them being bad.) I admit that someitmes Kanye goes overboard with his fashion for shock value but as far as skateboard P...he's eyecandy and guys get enough of it in the videos so...why can't us ladies have something nice to look at? And sometimes, he even puts out a decent song; check the video (I love when they make GOOD videos from my favorite songs on albums). I like to listen to beans...but I'd rather look at Skateboard P

Oh yea, and if you dont already have the In My Mind album...buy it, burn it or dub it, just give it a listen.
